For kids entering K-grade 3. Clap your hands, stomp your feet
and get moving to the beat as Ross Sutter sings songs about
favorite foods. You'll have a chance to try out different
rhythm instruments. Space is limited. Free passes are required
to attend and will be available at the library 30 minutes
before the program begins.

Get together with your friends and build wild creations beyond

Out of the Box: Art Zoo
Wednesday, June 18, 10:30 a.m. at Rogers Library
Registration begins May 22; limit 20. For kids entering grades
2-5. Explore the animal kingdom through the eyes of an artist.
Begin your own animal journals with sketches of two Chinese
T'ang Dynasty clay camels from the Minneapolis Institute of
Arts. Learn basic techniques for drawing quadrupeds, or four-legged
animals, while walking through the history of the Silk Road.
Funded by grants and gifts to the Library Foundation of Hennepin

painted, box, snapping and the rare Blandings turtle! Lake
Maria State Park manager will bring these live turtles for
the program and return them to their homes afterward.
